This is... interesting. (pun intended)
No, seriously. It's a bit freaky, a bit strange, some parts just don't make sense until the very end. But... it's good. It's good. (pun intended). Worth a read, the abstract idea was rather intriguing. Okay, there are stories where you just space out and then there are those where you can't do that. This story belongs to the latter named category.
It's a bit tricky, and probably the warnings were confusing too; basically there are three universes, thus three "Sherlocks", Jim's and so on.
Reminds me of a Harry Potter fanfiction which is rather well-known: the Resonance - Revolution - Resolution novel in which Harry discovers parallel universes as well.
