I have to admit: I haven't read A Family like None Other yet. Not completely. Will do so soon, just haven't got the time. The series is an excellent read, though. It is rather logical, in character (and if it isn't, there's a good explanation for it). Aspeninthesunlight belongs to the greatest HP Fandom writers out there and even if one does not like Snape, Harry and Draco, one should know about this masterpiece.

Wonderful story - I never was much into autistic!Sherock, just didn't fit IMO. This story, though, made me reconsider it. There is some merit in it. And if you like drama, Johnlock and childfic, here you go.

Fuck the description, it does not reflect the great story underneath it.

This story is heart-crushing. I don't know if I'll ever be able to read a Sherlock fanfiction without comparing it to this masterpiece. There are happy moments in which you rejoice with the characters, and there are sad moments that sting so much you think your lung was pierced in the process. Even now, I am fighting with tears. Don't want them to be shed. To me, this is a must-read, one of the works a fan should know.

This is R-rated because of the intensity, the emotional impact it causes.

While I - to this date - am unaware of Canon_Is_Relative, ImpishTubist is one of the finest writers out there I know. Works by that author I can recommend:

While I consider Snape's notion of discipline somewhat old-fashioned and ancient, the story itself is well-written and shows the various nuances of Snape's and Harry's relationship.

oliver.snape belongs to the authors which need to be mentioned when talking about Snape and Harry.
Not only did oliver.snape write lots of interesting gen interaction between those two characters, but Snarries also are part of the author's repertoire. In all writing, there is some kind of subtle craziness, which makes the reader think "oh... whatever". While it's not Canon-compliant at all, and somewhat out of character, oliver.snape presents stories that are - attention! - interesting.

Slave Child at FF


One of those novel-length stories you just have to love. It's a pity there hasn't been an update in two years. Still, this does not make it a bad read. The main plot is already solved, there are only a few loose ends which are not that important.
Slave Child represents a different kind of Sevitus-Story. Snape being forced to take care of Harry due to a spell, then beginning to care. Is Snape out of character? Maybe. Later on, yes. In the beginning, I do not think so. This story is somewhat sappy, somewhat dramatic, somewhat emotional. So many somewhats... that's why it is a story many people enjoy.

Kristen Hudson is only known in the Harry Potter Fandom and focuses on Snape+Harry.
