Arguing and Corpses

Title: Arguing and Corpses
Author: AggressiveWhenStartled
Fandom: Sherlock
Characters: Sherlock/John, Sally
Warning: R, slash
Length: Novella
Status: Completed

“You’ve stuffed an entire body into the fridge this time,” John accused. “What happened to the milk? The leftover risotto? My bloody jam?”
Sherlock opened his eyes at that. “As a doctor, it should be readily apparent to you that there is only a partial body in our refrigerator. Popular horror stories notwithstanding, it’s rare for an entire corpse to fit into one this size. I had to cut it up into several parts to pack it in, and there is still only seven eighths of it there.”
John stared at the ceiling. “That’s... not better.”

AO3

A hilarious work that focuses on John and Sherlock's interactions, as well as their budding relationship. I very much enjoyed it. It's clever, funny, and intriguing.

This Thing All Things Devour

Title: This Thing All Things Devour
Author: cypress_tree
Fandom: Sherlock / In Time

Characters: John/Sherlock, Mycroft, Molly, Sally, Lestrade
Warning: NC-17, slash, AU, crossover
Length: Novella
Status: Completed

In 2169, time is money—literally. Humans are genetically engineered to stop aging at 25, when the numbers on their arm start counting down from one year. When that time is up, they die. The only way to get more time is to earn it, borrow it, or steal it.
John Watson lives day-to-day in the crowded slums of Zone 13. He never imagined living any differently—until he meets the practically-immortal Sherlock, and helps him on a case to track a local time-thief...

AO3

Brilliant story. I didn't know "In Time" but I think the main elements of the universe are very conflicting and dark. Putting Sherlock and John in there... yes, it works. It does.
I loved the general mood. You can feel "the time is running." You expect it to run out.

An Age of Silver

Title: An Age of Silver
Author: ImpishTubist
Fandom: Sherlock
Characters: Sherlock/OMC (Stanley Hopkins), Sally, Lestrade/John
Warning: R, slash, injury (Hopkins), mention of character death (Victor), illness (cancer - Lestrade, chronic disease - Hopkins), marriage
Length: Novel
Status: Completed

Sherlock Holmes is adapting to the pace of a more sedate life when a series of gruesome murders pulls him out of semi-retirement. Meanwhile, a burgeoning relationship with one of Scotland Yard’s own forces him to confront ghosts he thought he had buried long ago.

AO3

I've rec'ed another instalment of this series. This is outstanding enough to warrant another mention. Truly.
I am rather wary of OCs, as probably the count of the "oc" tag shows. I ship Sherlock with a lot of persons. Irene, Lestrade, John, heck, his own brother at times. Then there's the odd Molly/Sherlock story around... Sally, Anderson... Yes. You get the picture. And it is quite easy to notice that my current OTP is Victor/Sherlock which is ridiculous but... well. My excuse.. um. I ship it? Okay, not a strong argument.
Probably as weak as any I could bring up to justify Sherlock/OC. Hopkins is a beautiful OC (and partly canon, so...). Sherlock's grief is shown from a variety of perspectives. I like it. And yes, he deserves some happy end. The previous instalment was sad. I love the fact that Victor would have told him to move on. It's my head canon. That something happened but that Victor, in the end, loves Sherlock enough to let go. Their love is... I should write a meta about it. Why this idea is so beautiful.

Art of the Reasoner

Title: Art of the Reasoner
Author: Tellytubby101
Fandom: Sherlock
Character: John, Sherlock, Lestrade, Sally
Warning: PG-13, AU, character death(Sherlock)
Length: Medium
Status: Completed

A world in which Sherlock is an artist, not a detective. Though that doesn’t mean he can’t help solve crimes.

At AO3

This is magnifiscent, artistic, and beautiful. Just like "The Art of Seduction", this story managed to capture Sherlock's make-up and depicts him in character while exchanging his obsession with crime solving. In here, he solves crimes but he isn't obsessed with it. Instead, there's art, and crazy, insane thoughts about art and art expression.
John's a great chap, too. Loved everything. Even the last chapter which came like a blow against the stomach. At first I believed there'd be an epilogue of sorts. There wasn't. I really wished to have a slower "curtain fall".

4.916

Title: 4.916
Author: nmqttps
Fandom: Sherlock
Characters: John, Sherlock, Mycroft, Sally, Mary
Warning: PG-13, injury(John), violence
Length: Novel
Status: Completed

John jumps in Sherlock's stead. Moriarty's organisation is massive, but not impenetrable. There's a bigger game being played well over Sherlock's head.

At AO3

This one's interesting. There's a lot of BAMF!John in there and more of a very apathic, silent Sherlock. Not my usual "stuff" but I liked the characterization.

The Only Thing Worse

Title: The Only Thing Worse
Author: Bishopsbird
Fandom: Sherlock
Characters: Sherlock, John, Sally
Warning: PG-13, mental illness (eating disorder),
Length: Short
Status: Completed

The finishing touch is the scarf, and once that’s wrapped around his neck he looks almost normal (normal for the Freak, Sally amends). Still too thin, maybe, although the coat hides most of it, makes his form look more substantial than it really is. But the illusion’s broken now, and Sally knows that she won’t be able to look at him without seeing ribs and spine and collarbone stretched under too pale skin.
Or...the one where Sherlock has an eating disorder and Sally tries to help.

The Unexpected Key

Title: The Unexpected Key
Author: Desiderii
Fandom: Sherlock
Characters: John/Sherlock, Mycroft, Lestrade, OFC, Sally
Warning: NC-17, het, genderbender, AU
Length: Novella
Status: Completed

Miss Sherlock Holmes objects most strenuously to the very idea of finding a husband. Instead of accepting that she must, she sets out to ensure she will never have to.
John Watson, invalided home and recovering from a nasty bout of enteric fever, never thought to find anyone interested in him ever again, let alone someone like Sherlock.

At AO3

Definitely a must-read. I liked the Victorian setting, Sherlock's bloody stubbornness and Mycroft's desperate act. Yes, if Sherlock was female, if they were living in the Victorian Age, then it would have happened like this. If it hadn't... shame it wouldn't have XD

Sergeant Donovan decides that something must be done about the unresolved sexual tension that plagues their crimes scenes. John and Anderson get dragged into her scheming.

At AO3

Short and cute oneshot about Sally, John and Anderson being determined to play matchmaker for Lestrade and Sherlock. Because... really, those innuendos are too much for them XD

John and Sherlock meet five years earlier, when both of them are a little bit younger and a little bit softer. It doesn't necessarily make things any easier.

Efficacious

Title: Efficacious
Author: anonymous
Fandom: Sherlock
Characters: Sherlock, Mycroft, Lestrade, Sally
Warning: PG, minor physical offense
Length: Short
Status: Completed

In which Mycroft appears at the police station being ostentatiously powerful and I-Actually-Run-The-Country on numerous occasions, having arguments with Sherlock, who won't tell anyone who he is.

Efficacious at LJ

Mycroft at his best, Sally as a human being, Lestrade somewhat protective. Is there anything else needed to make it worthy to be read?
Second filler, so a bit scrolling down needed.
