Do you know the sort of works that scream "ooc" but at the same time "well-done" and "worth a read"?
If not, don't fret, here's one of those with an ugly version of Mommy Holmes, paired with supportive!John, caring!Mycroft and whump!Sherlock.
Storystuff isn't an author yet known to me, though I'll have a look at their other works.
I hold her in quite high regards - okay, the story idea wasn't original, the writing wasn't outstanding. It was good, at both accounts, but it's not the originality that impressed me most. It was the last chapter. How do you manage to make your readers feel just as awkward reading about the brother "reunion" as the brothers probably feel themselves? Definitely a talented author.
